The Lane Tech Alumni Association Grant Program started in the 2009/10 school year and since then has awarded more than $80,000 in grant money to Lane Tech teachers. In 2012, the Alumni Association presented incentive and innovation grants totalling over $22,000 in response to the requests of a highly motivated and inspirational group of faculty and staff at Lane. Of the thirty-seven applicants, twenty-six grants were awarded to fourteen various departments or clubs, for twenty-five unique programs. The average student population served per grant is two hundred thirty-four and ultimately every student will be impacted by the LTAA grant program through school-wide programs, performances and competitions. The range of activities is a reflection of the diverse and talented population of teachers and students at Lane. Cultural immersion experiences, athletic competition, college tours, classroom technology and much more have been made possible through this program.
