ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
The exhibit is open to student and alumni artists who currently attend, or have graduated from Lane Tech. Any 2 or 3 dimensional media is welcome. Gallery 2501 is open during regular school hours and by appointment.

1. No entry fee, maximum of 4 submitted images per artist.
2. Submissions Details:
a. Jurying will be done from jpeg images, submitted via email with the completed entry form
Email jpeg images and entry form as attachments to email@example.com, and specify “Tribe” Student –Alumni Show.
b. Accepted artists may be asked for high res. images for promotion.
c. Please title your jpegs as: Artist last name_Grad year__# of image_Title.jpg (Jones_1995_1_Title.jpg)
d. Deadline for submissions is July 13th at 2:00pm CST. Notifications will be emailed by July 23rd.
All art must be labeled, properly framed, or equivalent, and wired for hanging. No clip frames. Exposed edges and back must be clean. Works not properly wired, or which differ significantly from jpegs, will be rejected, no substitutions. Upon acceptance, information will be resent with labeling and shipping instructions. All art must be available for the duration of the show. Maximum size: 48” per side. Minimum size: 8”x8”.
DELIVERY OF ARTWORK
Accepted entries will receive detailed delivery and shipping instructions. Art should be delivered in reusable packing (with paid return label if shipping) and should include specific packing instructions, if applicable. No “peanut” packing or torn boxes.
It is the responsibility of the artist that artwork is properly packaged in reusable packaging and to insure works during transit. Accepted artwork will be handled with reasonable care, however, Lane Tech and the LTAA will not be liable for any damage or loss during transit, delivery, or return shipping. Works will be insured while in the gallery. Damaged crates will not be opened pending notification of the carrier and the artist.
Work must be picked up within one week of the ending of the show, unless alternate arrangements are made. Lane Tech and the LTAA will not be responsible for work left beyond that date. Specific pick up times will be sent with acceptance letter. Shipped work will be sent no later than November 3, 2018.
The Lane Tech Alumni Association and those acting for Gallery 2501, reserve the right to photograph and retain a set of images of the exhibit for promotional, educational and documentation purposes only.
Work must be framed, ready to hang and a label affixed to the back with the artist’s name and title of work, and must be professionally presented. Gallery 2501 reserves the right to reject any artwork that is deemed unsuitable, including but not exclusive of work not ready to hang or unprofessionally presented.
Gallery 2501 will use all reasonable care in handling entries but assumes no responsibility for damage or loss. Submitted images may be used for exhibition purposes and publicity.
ABOUT GALLERY 2501
Gallery 2501 is the premier fine art gallery at Lane Tech. Gallery 2501 organizes and produces multiple art shows each academic year, featuring the work of students and faculty. Lane's art students participate in a rich and celebrated tradition of excellence. Every year students are showcased in the Chicago All-City Arts Exhibit, the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, the IHSAE Exhibition and the Latino Art Beat Competition. Student work has been featured in galleries around Chicago and regularly in Gallery 2501.
ABOUT THE LANE TECH ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
The LTAA is one of the most established alumni associations in the CPS system with more than 3000 dues-paying members and a robust portfolio of programs and services. Incorporated in 1986, the mission of the organization is to promote Lane Tech through the provision of meaningful programs, events, and services that connect alumni to one another, to the school, and to other groups or individuals whose mission aligns with the Lane Tech Alumni Association. The LTAA seeks to cultivate a spirit of loyalty and lifelong commitment to our alma mater and camaraderie with fellow alumni.
