This new baseball field would not be possible without the effort from the Cubs Organization, Kerry Wood Foundation, Chicago Park District, DeVry Education Group, City of Chicago, Former IL Governor Pat Quinn, 47th Ward Alderman Ameya Pawar, Turner Construction and Clayco and Chicago Public Schools. This brand new field is open to the City of Chicago youth baseball organizations. It is a IHSA playoff regulated field and the home field for Lane Tech's baseball team. Go Lane Go!

Congratulations to Mrs. Kathryn Anderson on being appointed Lane Tech's Principal.

The following is her letter of introduction:

Dear Lane Family -

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of introduction to you as the newly appointed Principal of Lane Tech College Prep. I have had the great honor of serving at Lane Tech as a Biology teacher, Academic Center Coordinator, and Assistant Principal. As a member of the Lane Tech staff for several years, we have always embodied the idea of family. As a mother of two, I truly understand the need for students to feel they have a strong support system when they are away from their own families. I want to assure the Lane Tech community, that I will treat all of the students with the same dignity, love, and respect that I would expect for my own sons.

As we move forward this school year, I am excited to meet with you to gain your input and feedback to ensure the success of Lane now and in the years to come.

Go Lane Go!

Kathryn Anderson
